I can finally post pictures of christmas presents I made!
The first picture is a pair of fingerless gloves / wrist warmers for my mother. I taught myself how to knit in the round, and it was pretty easy. They’re very simple though.
The second picture is my first attempt at sewing a men’s necktie. It wasn’t a perfect… In fact its about 5 or 6 inches shorter than a standard tie, but as long as you make the tail in the back really short, it works pretty well (as modeled by my father.) I used the purlbee tutorial.
I also designed the fabric pattern that I used for the tie. Its sheet music inspired by the style of musical notes in Girl Genius. I find them so pretty and inspirational. A good example can be seen here. You can purchase the fabric on spoonflower, here!
